Bringing Eli home from the NICU
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Eli was born seven weeks early on a Tuesday morning in February. He weighed 3 lbs 4 oz, and his lungs weren't ready for the world.
For 71 days, our home was a chair next to an isolette. Our church family — Trinity Hill — never let the room go cold. There were always casseroles. Always someone praying. Always someone in the waiting room.
On April 23rd, we got to take him home. He's healthy. He's loud. He's ours.
What we weren't ready for is the bill. Insurance covered most of it, but not all. We're $5,580 short on the NICU stay, and behind on rent for the months I couldn't work. Anything you can give — even $10 — gets us closer to closing this chapter and starting the next one with peace.
Thank you for praying us through this. We mean that.
“I've known Naomi's family for six years. The need is real. Our church has already given $1,200; I'm asking the broader body to come alongside us.”
